With its expressive AMG bodystyling, the exterior design of the Mercedes-AMG E 53 4MATIC+ is a statement of dynamism even when standing still. Distinctive details such as the aerodynamically optimised 48.3 cm (19-inch) AMG light-alloy wheels in a 5-twin-spoke design accentuate the vehicle's performance claim.

With an all-round dynamic design, the Mercedes-AMG E 63 S 4MATIC+ radiates fascinating intensity. This includes design features such as two-piece tail lights, the rear apron with diffuser, S-model-specific tailpipe trim elements and 50.8 cm (20-inch) AMG light-alloy wheels in a 5-twin-spoke design.

AMG light-alloy wheels are an integral part of every Mercedes-AMG model, and not just in technical terms. They are also vital for catching the eye. The collection includes wheels in 48.3 cm (19-inch) and 50.8 cm (20-inch) sizes, the latter also as a forged wheel. This makes the showcasing even more fun.

With the touchpad, you operate the MBUX display as you would a smartphone. Further controls are arranged around the display panel. This gives you direct access to important functions at all times, such as the AMG DYNAMIC SELECT drive programs, vehicle functions or navigation.

The optional AMG Performance seats in black/titanium grey pearl nappa leather with red contrasting topstitching for the driver and front passenger sum up the AMG philosophy: maximum sportiness in the seating position and thus maximum superiority in handling. They also make a clear visual statement.

Visually, the two displays for the instrument cluster and multimedia displays merge under a joint cover in glass to form the Widescreen Cockpit. For the instrument cluster, the customer can switch between the three AMG display styles of "Modern Classic", "Sport" and "Supersport". The "Supersport" mode is particularly striking, with its central round rev counter and additional information in bar-graph form on either side of the rev counter.

Everything under control: with the AMG Performance steering wheels, you experience perfect grip and precise response. The steering wheels are also visually impressive: 3-spoke design, flattened bottom section, perforated in the grip area, with Touch Control buttons, aluminium gearshift paddles and AMG steering wheel buttons.

The fully digital cockpit, with two high-resolution displays, allows the vehicle to be operated as intuitively as a smartphone. For navigation, the virtual world merges with the real world when graphic navigation and traffic information is superimposed on live images in the digital display.

The AMG-specific display designs, such as the "Supersport" mode with central rev counter, spark emotions. With AMG TRACK PACE you can analyse your driving ability by monitoring your lap times on closed-off race tracks. Use the touchpad to operate the media display as you would a smartphone.

AMG Performance seats in black/titanium grey pearl nappa leather with yellow contrasting topstitching are available as an option for a sporty and exclusive statement in the interior. Thanks to the improved lateral support, the driver and front passenger can find a secure seating position and maximum poise and assurance in handling, even when driving dynamically.

The optional AMG DYNAMIC PLUS Package stands for the ultimate in driving enjoyment and supreme agility. It combines numerous high-performance components in an attractive package containing the key items of optional equipment for a further improvement in driving dynamics. These all add up to an even more emotional driving experience.

The AMG SPEEDSHIFT TCT 9G transmission, which comes as standard, combines efficiency, dynamism and safety. It delights sporty drivers with its dynamic shift characteristics and emotive double-declutching function and, depending on the drive program, delivers either sportily fast or comfortable and barely perceptible gear changes.

A special acoustic experience comes courtesy of the optional AMG Performance exhaust system. Variably adjustable exhaust flaps allow you to change the sound of the vehicle at the press of a button. Depending on the drive program, the sound characteristics change from unobtrusive comfort through to maximum emotive appeal.

With the five drive programs (six in the E 63 S 4MATIC+) of AMG DYNAMIC SELECT, you have your own personal race engineer on board. Depending on the situation or your mood, you can intensify the sporty character of your vehicle. All programs are visually presented in the AMG instrument cluster by means of a special symbol.

The AMG SPEEDSHIFT MCT 9G transmission provides optimum support for a dynamic driving style and brings genuine motorsport flair to every journey. Sporty, fast gear changes or comfortable, barely noticeable shifting depending on the driving mode: thanks to the nine gears, the engine is usually in the optimal engine speed range.

The dynamic AMG engine mounts in the E 63 S 4MATIC+ resolve the conflict of objectives between the softest possible mounting for a high level of comfort and a hard mounting for enhanced driving dynamics. They ensure the optimal connection between engine and body in every driving situation to ensure that both goals are achieved.
