  • MBUX Interior Assistant
    The image shows the interior of the CLA Coupé.

    The MBUX Interior Assistant on board the CLA allows intuitive, non-contact gesture control of various comfort, convenience and MBUX functions. A camera in the overhead control unit detects movements which the driver and front passenger make with their hands and arms in the area of the touchscreen or touchpad and adapts the presentation on the media display in accordance with the given configuration. In addition there are personal favourite functions which can be selected by forming a "V" with your index finger and middle finger.

    The CLA won't change the world. But it will change the way we see it. With the aid of a special camera, the surrounding area can be shown on the media display as a video or still image. Together with virtual objects or markings, this makes it substantially easier to find destinations, for example. Totally intuitive and pretty intelligent.

    The CLA hangs on your every word thanks to the LINGUATRONIC natural voice control system. It actually understands the vehicle's occupants without having to learn any commands beforehand. And it talks to you. What about reading out text messages, or dictating and sending them? No problem. It can check the weather at your destination, change the radio station or get you home by the fastest route. It takes only two words – "Hey Mercedes" – and the CLA is all ears.

  • Theme displays

    The theme displays allow preset moods to be conjured up for the CLA at the push of a button. The illustrations on the instrument display and media display adapt accordingly, as do the lighting mood and the driving mode. And best of all: the driver can configure their own individual theme displays.

    MBUX makes the CLA a strong partner. The system keeps learning and above all gets to know the driver a little better every day. It can remember your favourite songs and the way to work. It then tunes in automatically to the right radio station or shows you a faster way if your usual route is congested. All by itself and as a matter of course, if you so wish.

    Smartphones love the new CLA. If you so wish, they can connect with the vehicle themselves via USB, WLAN or NFC. The driver can then conveniently control many apps and function via the multimedia system display using the Touch Control buttons on the steering wheel. It's like magic and so simple.
